Welcome to my studio.

From my private Georgetown workshop & studio in Washington, D.C., I create bespoke embroidery for garments, accessories, and select custom commissions.

The studio operates by appointment only and serves exclusively as a secure drop-off and pick-up location for client projects.

I also accept select invitations from retailers, private clubs, and luxury brands to provide on-site embroidery services and special event activations.

For inquiries, commissions, or appointment requests, please contact via email: Ricardo@ricardojposada.com.

Bespoke Embroidery

I embroider on client-owned garments and textiles by appointment. If your item can lay flat within a 5" x 7" area, it can likely be embroidered.

Accepted Items:

  • Dress shirts (collar, cuff, chest)
    Oxford shirts
    Polo shirts
    T-shirts (mid/heavy weight)
    Sweatshirts/hoodies (flat areas)
    Lightweight jackets
    Quilted jackets
    Waxed cotton jackets

  • Tote bags
    Canvas beach bags
Cosmetic or toiletry bags (depending on material & size)
    Aprons
    Handkerchiefs
    Scarves (non-silk)

  • Towels (bath, hand, beach)
    Napkins & table linens
    Pillowcases
    Fabric bookmarks
    Christmas stockings
    Dog bandanas
    Dog jackets or coats

  • Baby onesies
    Bibs
    Burp cloths
    Lightweight baby blankets
    Keepsake cloth items
    Bachelor & Bachelorette party gifts

What To Avoid:

The studio does not accept structured hats, thick leather, heavily seamed garments, highly elastic fabrics, or items that cannot lay flat within the embroidery frame.

Materials containing high amounts of elastane, garments with zippers or pockets directly behind the embroidery area, and pieces with difficult-to-access placement zones may also not be suitable for embroidery.

If you are unsure about your item, feel free to email a photo for confirmation before booking.

Artisan’s Market

A curated selection of small textile works, each embroidered and framed by hand in my Georgetown studio. No two pieces are exactly alike, each is crafted at the time of your order.
